1896 Chautauqua Assembly lease: Mrs. Susan B. Park
1915 Estate: Susan B. Park died intestate seized of this leasehold at Chautauqua/ Her heirs-at-law were three sons and two living daughters
1934 By 1934 all five of the direct heirs were gone/ Most of them left heirs and devisees but no one made the effort to take care of the cottage/ The property was sold by the County Treasurer for delinquent taxes of $82.01 to the Institution, which had the arrangement with the County to step in and bid for any sales of leaseholds on the Grounds/ This action during the Great Depression saved many family cottages by giving them a chance to redeem
1934 Estate: The last of the five direct heirs, Susan R. Park died testate August 20, 1934 in Covington, KY/ Bank of Commerce and Trust Co. of Cinncinnati, Ohio Executor and Trustee/ Her will named twenty-one specific legatees, being nieces, nephews and two grandnephews
1940 Two of the nieces who had frequently occupied the cottage during the Season, bought out the others/ The assignments of interests to the two relatives were acknowledged in Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, California, North Carolina, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia

1964 Chautauqua Institution deed: Richard Coulter Brown, Jr., & Dorothy Chapman Brown, his wife, Natrona Heights, PA/ As tenants by the entirety/ In lieu of the 1940 lease to Mrs. Hay and Miss Jones; 715/73
