B&W print photo, 2½"x4½", showing the Colonnade across Bestor Plaza. The Colonnade housed a grocery store and gift shop on the bottom floor and the Wagner Photo Studio on the top floor. The center, bottom floor housed the international news teletype which brought the news of the Atomic Bomb being dropped on Japan and Russia entering World War II against Japan in 1945. The photograph was taken by Margaret "Peggy" Thompson Brown during one of her many visits to Chautauqua.
