Morton had a tent platform on his lot or a very modest cottage because the valuation for 1877 was $280, about twice as much as for a vacant lot nearby 1882 Note: Rev. Morton borrowed #321.00 from a fellow minister and cottage owner on Bliss Avenue/ Six years later the Note was paid, August 24, 1888/ The assessed valuation did not go up, as expected, but slid off to $250 1888 Chautauqua Assembly lease: Morgan L. Heath, South Stockton, NY 1892 Chautauqua Assembly lease: Mrs. Susan M. Light, Westfield, NY 1894 Chautauqua Assembly lease: Judge E.J.
