The three apartment buildings hide the parking lot that is accessible from Bryant Avenue/ It is a small part of the 35 Acres of farm land acquired by the Chautauqua Assembly in 1888 that increased the total area within the Grounds to 174 Acres. (B) In only 14 years the original 50 Acres at Fairpoint, New York purchased by The Chautauqua Sunday School Assembly had grown to reach 80% of its present size of 216 Acres within the fence and had its own Post Office called Chautauqua (C) From 1944 to 1957 the Columbus Boys Choir conducted summer sessions here and housed the boys in several frame barn-like buildings that stood approximately where the Overlook Condo parking lot is located/ Some old maps indicate "Barracks Area."
