Columbia's Natal Day - Pageant. 1923. B&W print photo, 8"x10", showing the (also filmed) Citizenship Day pageant on the steps of the Hall of Christ featuring Columbia, Justice, Liberty, Opportunity, History, men and women 21 years of age, and foreign-born new citizens. This is the beginning of the processional that lead to the Hall of Philosophy. Pageant directed by Percy J. Burrell and H. A. Smith. Notation on back incorrectly labels as "The Golden Bowl [Pageant] 1925." |
