Penn and Quakers - Pageant. 1923. B&W print photo, 3½"x 5½", showing a group people costumed as Quakers in front of the Arts & Crafts Chestnut Tree for the "Penn's Treaty with the Indians" portion of the Citizenship Day pageant. Penn (?) stands in front of table with the treaty while other Quakers stand behind. Part of (filmed) Citizenship Day program (July 19th). Pageant directed by Percy J. Burrell and H. A. Smith. Arts building visible in background. |
