Original Power House. 1893. B&W print photo, 3½ x 4", featuring the original Power House complete with smoke stack. It was built as an imitation of a Gothic castle. Chautauqua Lake can be seen in the background. Two ladies are walking with parasols. Notation on back: used as a power house- a Men's Club-faced the South end of Palestine Park house and horse-shoe court location in 1966 picture taken about 1893 as the smoke stack- which was removed when Men's Club took over- A large open fire place it in and an enclosed porch on the lake side was added |
