Description |
Jubilee Pageant -- Vincent. 1948. B&W print photo, 8"x10", showing costumed pageant players on stage for the first part of the two evening pageant. The first night's program, "The Assembly's Beginnings," took place in Miller Park, covering 1874-1879. Bishop Vincent, played by Norman Becker, walks to the pulpit, while several rows of other performers sit behind. Audience members are visible standing behind the stage. The edge of the stage and the grass are visible in the bottom lefthand corner of the photo. Written by S. M. Hazlett, narrated by Julius King, costumes by Mary Kistler and Naomi R. Clifford, makeup by Max Ellis. "Mrs. John A. Reed" (Ellen O.) handwritten on back of print. |
