Description |
The Athenaeum. 1985-1990. Hand-colored postcard, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2" showing an Elizabeth K. Rogers watercolor of the Athenaeum (built in 1881) with its mixture of Gothic and Moorish styles. Note the mother and child ascending the stairway to the veranda. The open antebellum porches are lined with rocking chairs during the season. |
