George Rowland in Indian Costume. 1910?. B&W print photo, 7"x 8½" , showing George Rowland in a Native American costume. While the notation on the back reads: "George Rowland 1910 Pageant of Missions Aug. 4 1910 - page 8 Chautauqua Daily," there were no Native American characters in that pageant. The costume is that also seen in pictures of the History of Chautauqua Lake pageant that same year, but George Rowland is not listed as a member of that cast. Rowland stands in front of several trees, right arm raised. There appears to be a path to his left, and an incline to his left. |
